My Experience with the GIF Project

At first, I was completely lost and had to ask for help.  I didn't know how to show the animation bar and I didn't know how to move my images with the tween button.  As soon as I got the hang of it, it was pretty simple and fun.  First, I did a Dory GIF, but then Mr.Larson said he wanted to see multiple things moving at the same time and for it to tell a story.  He explained how one of the most interesting ones he had seen was Dorthy throwing a pale of water on the Wicked Witch of the West and the witch melting.  I thought it would be kinda cool to do a childrens story.  My final GIF was the story of the three little pigs.  It took me about onw and a half class periods to do.  Like I said, once I got the hang of it, it became a piece of cake!

The Three Little Pigs Story

New House

Starting Friday, my family has been nonstop packing and moving.  On Saturday at 6 am. my friend Jessee and I went to Home Depot with my dad to get paint and supplies to paint my room and the living room.  Painting my room felt like it lasted all day, but really we started at 7 and finished at about 11 or 12.  I was happy about that mostly because Jessee wouldn't let me paint because I'm a terrible painter!:) Instead, I was her official paint dipper and pourer.  The rest of Saturday and all of Sunday we were moving things from house to house. Last night we got to sleep in our new house!  It was my first night in my own room!!:D

First Playoff Game!

If you go to Ironwood you better watch out because Deer Valley is seeking vengence!  Last time we played Ironwood the score was 68-69, it was Deer Valley's first and only loss!  This time around, DV is looking not only to beat but DESTROY Ironwood.  If Ironwood thought that was a tough game be prepared to face us on a good day with the drive of payback in their minds.  I have no doubt in my mind that Deer Valley will win and advance to the next level of playoffs, hopefully all the way to STATE!

Man I Love Dory!!

Mommy Come Back!

My mom's job requires her to go away on business trips alot and when she's gone the house feels so empty!  I, in a wierd way, step up and since I'm the oldest I takeover as "mom" for those couple of days.  The house is absolutely trashed right now, some because we're moving this weekend, and the other half because we act like slobs when mom's not here.  Now I know why my mom wants us to clean all the time, if we didn't ourhouse would be a PIGSTY!!  I just can't wait for her to come back home, the only downside is I'll be scrubbing the house before she gets home!

My Australian Tic-Tac-Toe Board!!

Treasure Island Show!

Last Thursday I left Arizona and headed to Las Vegas, Nevada!  I was going for a softball showcase but Thursday, a couple families went early.  About 5 of our families got together around 6 and headed to the strip!  I was so excited and I didn't know what to expect!  We wanted to see some shows because this would probably be the only freetime we would have out there.  The show I liked most was the Treasure Island show!  It was pretty exciting and me and my friend Karina got a really good view of the show!  We were talking about how all of them weren't exactly in the best shape to be dancing with there shirts off!  Then she pointed at one of them and said, "Well, he's not that bad."  After she said that he started staring at us!  It was kinda creepy but we couldn't help but laugh.  He would point at us during the show and random stuff like that.  At the end of the show, most of the pirates jump off the side of the boat.  Me and Karina looked over the edge and there he was!  We both looked down and the guy smiled, laughed, then splashed us with FREEZING water!  Me and Karina were mad but couldn't stop laughing.  I'm glad I got to see that show!

If I could Change One Thing In The World...

If I could change one thing in the world I think I would change how many full ride college scholarships are given out!! I feel like alot people bust their butts to do good in school and only get enough money to maybe get their books for their first year.  Unless you are like a star athlete or 5.0 student since pre-k, you won't get a very large amount of money to go to college.  I realize they give out a bunch of random scholarships, such as; if you drive a toyota, if you have dimples, if you're an only child.  If we had enough scholarships to even pay half of every students tuition I feel like one day, we could compete with China in education!:)

Time For A Change!

Over the summer my family went house hunting.  We needed a new house very badly!  We kept putting in bids on houses we liked and we kept getting denied!  Finally towards the end we got picked for three different houses.  We went back to take a look at the houses we qualified for and started eliminating.  We got down to two houses.  Me and my sister wanted a house that wasn't too far from Deer Valley so atleast I can finish my high school career as a Skyhawk.  The two houses we were looking at were one by Mountain Ridge and one by Greenway High School.  It was difficult to decide which one we wanted because they were both beautiful!  Finally we chose the house near Greenway, (and walking distance to my BESTFRIEND'S HOUSE!!).  It took them about 3 MONTHS to get all the paperwork done and finally, Yesterday, we got the key to the house!! I can't wait to finally have my own room!!!

Life With No Mouse

I feel like today is already starting off with too many delays!  I came into Graphic Design and my computer wouldn't turn on.  I felt like an idiot having to have somebody turn on my computer for me, but I had no choice!  Then my mouse was frozen so I restarted my computer.  When I booted it back up it was STILL frozen!  I am working on my computer with no mouse right now!  I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to be able to do the photoshop tools without a mouse!:O

LA$ VEGA$

I am SUPER excited for thursday because my family is leaving for Nevada for a softball showcase.  We have been preparing for this for a long time!!  In this showcase we play other teams and are watched by the college coaches.  Also, a couple people from my team are signed up for an individual camp which means we get put on different teams and the college coaches get to coach us.  My plan for this is to be the most outgoing and hard working player on the team.  I must cheer on my teammates, if though I don't know who they are, and give 110%.  I'm really hoping this will be the tournament I get scouted in and hopefully D-1 colleges will be watching me!!

I Worked Hard To Get Where I Am!

Ever since 3rd grade, (when we actually started to get real grades), getting good grades has been a priority for me.  in 3rd grade they tested me for Sage, an honors program, for reading and math. I qualified for the math sage and she told me I wasn't that far from qualifing for the reading but I didn't getting into reading sage.  That was alright with me, afterall I still made it into the math sage.  So, since 4th grade I've been in honors math, which has really payed off already!  I mean, I'm a junior and whie many of my other classmates still have to take another year of math I don't and can get a half day, even though I'm taking another year of math... Oh well!:)  Also as soon as I got into high school I signed up for the honors classes; freshman year-honors biology, honors LA, Geometry honors, sophomore year- honors chemistry, honors world history, honors LA, and Alg 3-4 honors, junior year- AP US history, college spanish, college LA, college pre-cal.  I've had my plate full since I started but do you want to know where it got me?... TOP 10% OF MY CLASS THATS WHERE!!  And I've been inducted into the honor societies at DV.  I'm glad I didn't ease up on myself or quit when it got hard, instead I pushed through to succeed!

The X-Factor

The X-Factor is a new singing show that Me, my sister, and my mom have been HOOKED to!  The judges include Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, and LA Reid.  It has been on for awhile and we've been watching from the beginning.  Last night was a night of pure confusion!  Each judge has a categorie: over 30's, girls, boys, and groups.  In these categories are either 8 people or 8 groups.  Last night each judge had to cut their group from 8 to 4.  As we were watching there were people we thought should have made it and didn't and people we thought for sure would have gone home and made it!  Then it was down to my favorite girl and my mom's favorite girl.  Only one of them was going to make it but they definitely both deserved it!  We waited and waited to hear the resu;ts and my girl made it, I was happy but at the same time sad because the other girl deserved just as much as my girl did!  Then the host said, "and that is the judges final four,... or is it?"  Right then I was sure they were going to put my mom's girl through too.  Simon flew out to Florida to personaly apologize for what he said was "a huge mistake", and I agreed, and said that all the judges got together and decided that she didn't deserve to go home and that she would be back on the show.  She was awestruck and couldn't speak.  But that didn't stop her dad from talking for her!  He right away said "she'll do it!"  The family was so exstatic!  CONGRATULATIONS MELANIE AMARO!

Pen Pal from New Zealand!!!!

My friend, over the summer, signed up for a penpal thing in New Zealand.  I thought it was a super cool way to meet someone new and especially way over there!  I've always wanted to marry someone from Australia and she's always wanted to marry someone from New Zealand so she was already one step ahead getting a pen pal out there!  He even sent her things made in New Zealand for her birthday!  I'm very excited because she said the next time she skypes him I can meet him!  I hope it's soon because he seems really nice and I really want to hear his accent!!! I LOVE FOREIGN ACCENTS!!

Footloose!

On Saturday, me, my sister, my best friend, and her mom went to the movies to see Footloose.  I didn't know what to expect, all I could picture when I thought of the movie was the old version.  That one was really good so I was really excited to see this one.  From the moment it started to the end I was hooked!  It was hilarious, sad, cute, and just plain terrific!

Success

My definition of success is to excel in something.  Also, probably the most typical definition, to have alot of money.  Many people think that in order to be successful you have to make alot of money.  I have to agree with that just a little because thats pretty much today's definition.

Favorite Subject!

My all time favorite subject would be lunch and gym, but since those two probably don't count, I think my favorite subject is math.  Math comes so easy to me, (for some odd reason).  My parents always tell me to look for a job that involves math since I'm good at it but I don't think I want to have to take another four years of math in college.  I'm in precal right now as a junior which means I don't have to take another math next year.  Now I;m not sure if I should or not cause I'm not really sure what I want to be or do in college.  For now, math is my favorite subject!

I Got Your Back Sis!

So, it wasn't until this last weekedn that I realized how much I loved my sister!  We were playing in a college showcase and everyone was out there to impress the coaches and scouts.  My sister was stealing second base, ( and by the way, she's really fast!), and the secondbaseman was covering the base.  My sister slid into second feet first and the girl tagged her on the helmet.  First of all it was obvious she was safe if the girl tagged her helmet, but the girl tagged my sister so hard her helmet and glasses went flying off.  But it gets worse...  My sister came in the dugout crying and we knew she wasn't crying because she got out.  She said her leg hurt and we looked at it and there were about three holes made in her socks.  We rolled her sock down and she had a huge gash on her leg.  The girl had cleated her!  I was so fumed that I started crying and did not take my eyes off the second baseman once!  I wanted so badly to go out there and tell her to apologize to my sister.  Before that whole incident the shortstop decided to give my sister a shove.  I let this slide cause its part of the game but when the cleating and helmet knock off, I went crazy.  If anyone tries to mess with my sister they better be ready to get it from me.  I will always have my sisters back! <3

"Occupy Wall Street"

This group, known as the Occupy Wall Street, is just looking for a change.  They are protesting in Wall Street to get their point across.  They want to know that in the next few years they dont have to worry whether they can pay thir bills or will be able to support their families.  They want to know that they will be secure in the future.  I think, as long as they aren't hurting anyone, let them protest.  I know some are getting violent, then the police can step forward and punish the ones acting up.  They are just excersizing their right of free speech and they should be allowed to do so.

Ted Talk 2

Dave Eggers gave the talk. The subject was about the tutoring places for youn writers. They would come in and get one-on-one attention from tutors that would help them improve. Most of these tutoring places were built behind crazy stores like The Pirate Supply Store, The Superhero Supply Store, The Time Travelers Supply store, etc. I learned that many tutors around the U.S. are trying to mget involved in kids writtings at school and also they are publishing them in books and such. It made me want to help them.

Gaurdian Angel

If I were to die tomorrow, I wouldn't have much of a Legacy left behind.  I hope that with the little time I had on earth it would leave people nothing but good thoughts about me.  When people think of me, I want them to remember me as always smiling, laughing, and having fun no matter what.  I would want them to remember how much I loved them and how they know I will always be there for them like I was when I was alive.  I'll be there Gaurdian Angel!

The Micheal Jackson Experience!

When I came home Monday, I got the biggest surprise... My dad had bought the kinect for the playstation and a bunch of games to go with it!  One of the games he bought was the Micheal Jackson Experience.  I love Micheal Jackson's music and have been wanting to play that game since I saw it advertised on TV.  So, after all our homework and chores were done yesterday, the whole family gathered around the tv and had a Micheal Jackson night!  It was honestly the funnest game I've ever played!  It didn't only have dancing but you could also plug in a microphone and sing along, (which we did!). I'm so excited for people to come over and have a Micheal Jackson party!! :D

Ted Talk 3

Who?- Aimee Mullins did the talk. " Aimee Mullins on running"
What about?- She was talking about her life as an amputee athlete.  She was able to run and compete in the physical disabilities olympics.  She won many of her races and made a world record.
What did you Learn?- I learned that there is a physical disabilities olympics and it doesn't matter what kind of disability you have, if you work hard you can do anything.  Aimee had two prostetic legs and made records as an amputee.

Smh at smhers!

Smh, fwb, nmh, jk, btw, lol, and so many more lazy ways to say things!  It really irritates me how people over use acronyms.  Have people become that lazy that it takes them too long to write by the way or just kidding that instead they have to put btw or jk.  My all time "favorite" is smh.  Really?!  Smh and nmh are the dumbest acronyms!  Do you really feel it is that important to tell people your shaking your head.  You might as well say cuc, cutting up carrots.  People, I'm sure, don't really care that your shaking your head while your posting!

DVHS Softball Scrpbook Page!!

There's No Time Like Christmas Time!

There really is no time like Christmas!  You can feel everyone around you getting cheerier and everyone gets into the holiday spirit!  Christmas brings everyone together, not just families but communities too!  I'm particularly excited for this Christmas because we will be going to Disneyland during the Christmas season!  I've always wanted to see the happiest place on earth turn into the happiest, cheeriest place on earth.

Let Me Tell Ya Bout My Bestfriend...

The person who has had the most im[act on me, besides family, would be my bestfriend Taylor.  We've only known eachother for about 6 years but I feel like I've known her my whole life!  She is like my twin.  We don't look the same, but that's the only difference between us.  I can tell her anything and she tries really hard to understand and help me and vice versa.  I really could not imagine my life without her.  She is a 7months younger so she's only a sophomore, but when she graduates we are going to go to the same college and share an apartment.  We're also going to travel to many different places and meet lots of famous people!  I love my BESTFRIEND!

An Ugly President??

The question posed by Joy Behar was, "Do you think the country would elect an ugly person as president?"
This is a tough question to answer.  I feel like Americans are very superficial and even though I would like to believe that we would, I doubt the people could.  If the ugly person had very strong ideas and plans that would help America, it shouldn't matter what the person looks like, it should be based on what he has to offer America.  People in America have to get over all our superficial ways and learn that it doesn't matter what the person looks like on the outside but it's what's on the inside that counts!

Procastinator!

In forensics, my class was assigned a huge book report where we had to, on one side of the poster board, advertise the book in a way that would make people want to watch or read it.  Then, on the other side, had to do the book report.  Most of the books on the list of books we could read were very long!  I'm not much of a reader, and the book was very confusing to understand!  So, my mom rented the movie so I could compare the book with the movie.  They were very similar the only difference was it was easier to understand the movie!  The book report is due Friday and I have only took notes on the book report part!  If I'm going to finish this I will have to get my butt moving after school and finish it before practice today and tomorrow!!

Old Friends

My dad worked for a group home for boys about 3-4 years ago.  He was the night watch which meant at 6 he would go over there and spend the night with them to make sure they dont get themselves into any trouble then at 6 the next morning would come back home and take me and my sister to school.  My dad ended up gaining three "sons" while he was there; Jaime, Dustin, and James.  James recently came back from Afghanastan and him and Jaime came over for dinner last night to visit my dad.  It was nice seeing them again, since I practically grew up with them and now I dont get to see them that much.  I remember being 10 and Jaime taught me and my sister how to ice skate.  These three boys were like my adopted older brothers! I'm glad that every once in a while they come over and visit!

Soooo TIRED!!!

So, I think this whole weekend Igot a total of 11 hours of sleep!  So starting Friday, I went to get my permit and I PASSED!!!:) (watch out Arizona!)  Then I went to the homecoming game with my sister, her friend, my cousin (who we painted blue!), and my best friend Taylor!  That game was so exciting!!! (Good job skyhawks!).  I got home at about 11 and didnt go to bed until about 12.  I had to wake up at 6AM for a softball tournament and was definitely pooped!  We had two games since we had homecoming later that day.  We won both of our games and it was time to go home and get ready for homecoming!  We got a party bus to drive us to take pictures and drop off and pick us up at the dance.  That was the a night I would never forget!! So that night I didn't go to bed until about12:30-1 and again had to wake up at 6 the next morning to finish our tournament.  It didn't matter how tired we were, we were determined to win!  And we did as we planned undefeated champions of the tournament!  This weekend was a crazy, exciting, exhausting weekend but was so worth it!  (p.s. If I fall asleep in class you'll understand why!(;)

What Do I Look Like??

My family is filled with short people so it was obvious I wasn't going to be 6ft anything!  Today, our spirit day is Power Ranger Day, (class color day), and each grade is assigned a different color to wear.  For example, freshman are green, sophomores are red, juniors are pink, and seniors are black, (kinda depressing but whatever).  This day seperates the grades not only by color but by which grade has the most spirit.  I came to school in all pink to represent all my juniors and I walk into class with questioned eyes staring at me.  I don't understand why until a kid turns to me and says, "your a junior?!?".  Really?  Ever since I was little no ever believes I belong in the grade I'm in.  Thanks alot genes, I won't ever look my age!!

Test #2

  1. The spot healing brush tool is used for many different things.  For example, if you took a picture and had blemishes on your face, this tool could be used to take the color around the blemish and match it.
  2. If something is opac, than it is see through.
  3. (6) I would use the paint brush tool when using layer.
  4. (13) I think this test was alot better than the other test. I felt like I understood alot more of the tools this time around .

Spirit Week!

It's finally HOMECOMING week!  This means we have spirit days Monday through Friday and they're always different!!!  Monday was Superhero day and ofcourse I was all decked out in my superhero swag. Today, (Tuesday), is caveman day. Tomorrow, (Wednesday), is class color day and I am going to be covered in poink from head to toe!  (Juniors got to represent!(:) Thursday is multiplicity day and the juniors are going to surprise the whole school... just wait!  Finally, Friday is blue out day and this is probably the one day that almost EVERYBODY will do!! Man, do I love spirit days!!<3

Slump

So, lately I've been in a huge hitting slump.  Every time I go up to bat I either strike out or I pop up.  Saturday was the worst day for this to happen.  We had pool play games that would determine who you play the next day.  I could not hit the ball to save my life!!  I got on all of three times in the three games, (if you didn't know that's not good!).  So finally in the last game I got on tiwce and scored to contribute to our win!  We ended up getting first in our bracket which meant we could sleep in Sunday.  But my day did not end there!  We had a party at our house to watch the fight, (by the way, Mayweather is unsportsman like, rude, and many other things!), and I was in the batting cage for about 45 minutes with my coach trying to fix my swing.  It worked!  Sunday I finally got out of my slump and was able to show off my base running skills!

They have the second biggest burritos I've ever seen, (first being chipotle which is also very good), and the best burritos I've ever tasted!!!  Also, my family goes there A LOT!  We are true Mexicans!;) Not only are there burritos GREAT they have all different types of mexican food and Horchata!  I LOVE horchata and bean and cheese burritos!!:D

"Practice Like Somebodys Watching"

Yesterday, I had practice with my team from 6:30-9:45.  We worked first in the batting cages and hitting stations at Rio Vista for about an hour.  Then it was off to field 2 to start the real practice.  My coach really focused on base running and how to read the ball of the bat.  It was a very good practice and siunce college coaches came to our tournament to watch us play, they said to "practice like somebody was watching."  So thats what we did and practice seemed to go by so fast!  I guess hard-work really does pay off!

After High School I...

After high school I plan to go to a D1 college, (hopefully on scholarship), for softball.  My biggest dream is to play for ASU and win the world series again.  After I finish college, instead of rushing into a career that I'll most likely be doing for a long time, my sister, neighbor, and I are planning to take a trip to Europe, New Zealand, and Australia.  I've always wanted to travel and what better places to go??  After that I would like to try to get into acting but its hard to do!!

9/11 Tragedy

This Sunday, it was the 10th anniversary of the attack on the twin towers.  My team was plaing in a tournament that day but did not forget what had happened ten years ago!  In support of our country and in remembrance of all those who were lost, my team wore yellow bows saying we will never forget.  There was an american flag seperating each phrase.

Homerun Hitter!

The feeling of running around the bases nonstop is the best feeling in the world, especially if it is during a game!  This weekend my travel softball team had a tournament.  It was our first 18A tournament.  This is for the best of the best teams and we were in it.  It was our second pool play game and I wasn't doing to hot the first game.  I was feeling really sick but I knew I couldn't use that as an excuse.  I knew I had to bring my runners in so I watched the ball come in and POW!  After that I was waved all the way to home.  My hit had went all the way to the right field fence!  I had hit a three-run homerun!!:D  The score ended up being 7-6.  We won!  All I could do was thank God for giving me the patience and speed to help my team win!

TEST 1

    1. The slice tool is used to divide the picture into different frames.  For example, if you were making a movie you could use this for dividing the picture from the menu button, special effects button, etc.
    5. On the wand tool, tolerance is the amout of that color pixel or pixels around it get chosen.  If you have a higher tolerance, the wand will pick up pixels of that color and the pixels touching that color.  If you have a lower tolerance, the wand will pick up just the pixels of that color in the selected area.
    8. The ruler is used to measure objects on your project.  You can take the ruler place it on the page and measure the height and width of the selcted portion.

  11.  I felt like I didn't know some of the tools that were asked in this test.  I was having problems with the wand selecting the whole page and had to keepmessing around with it.  I felt a little behind but for the most part, I feel like I did pretty good.  I like these test better than a pen and paper test!

We Will Remember!

Today are school is showing our patriotism towards are country in rememberance of 9-11.  Most people are decked out in red white and blue in honor of all those who lost their lives in 9-11.  This is to show are support of all the brave people who may have risked their lives trying to save someone else or for all the families who expierienced huge losses.  It's a reminder that we will never forget what happened at ground zero!

The Most Important Thing In My Life is...

The most important thing in my life is softball. I've been playing for about 8-9 years!  Now that I'm much older, it has become my number one priority.  If it came down to it, I would miss my homecoming and prom for a tournament.  I am preparing to get scouted for college being in showcases.  This is where college coaches from many different colleges come out and watch you play.  They are not really judging on how well you play, (all though that is important), but mostly looking at when you fail how do you hold yourself?  Do you get mad and bring your team down? Do you shake it off and next time come up and do something spectacular?  This is what I'm focused on!  I want to make it, for softball, to a D1 university.  If I keep softball as my top priority and most important thing in my life, I can come closer to acheiving my goal!

Photoshop tools work wonders!

Today in photoshop, I used the crop tool, the move tool, the magic wand tool, all three lasso tools, and the rectangular marquee tool to make this picture.  First I used the crop tool to cut out the little bodies from a picture.  Then I used the move tool to bring them onto the yellow beatles background.  After I used the magic wand to get rid of the white background the bodies were still on.  Then I brought up another picture, this time i took only the heads.  To do this I used the three lasso tools.  To size and position the heads just right on the bodies I went to EDIT, then scrolled down to TRANSFORM and clicked on scale and rotate.

Voting At 18??

When I turn 18 will I vote?
Honestly, I don't know if I will vote when I'm 18.  I mean, Up until about 3 years ago I would vote on the silly kid voting ballets that don't count for anything, and wouldn't really understand who it was I was voting for and what would they be doing? I either picked them because their name sounded like somebody I knew or I just liked the name.  I'm pretty sure if I did that on an actual ballet that is not good.  I think , maybe, if I can understand and appreciate the reason I'm voting then I will vote.

The Crazy Weekend!

Many people may have gone up north or maybe out of town for the labor day weekend, but for my family we stayed home and were busy the whole weekend!  Friday after school me and my siblings cleaned my house so we could go to a birthday party at Dave and Buster's.  We came there with 6 and left with a different 6 people.  My friends Alexis Gonzalez and Valerie Vidal came home with us and my sister Anjolina stayed at their house.  That night we got sugared up on giant pixie sticks and nerd ropes.  Saturday we went to the Rio Vista batting cages and practiced for about 2 hours then went to my neighbors and swam. The next day was toooo crazy!!! We went to a surprise b-day party and left because of a fight.  then we went to our friends house until about 3am.  Sunday we relaxed swimming at our neighbors and bbqing ribs! It was a great way to end my busy weekend!!!!

Keep Your Head Up

"School Pride"

What does the school pride mean to me?? Showing school pride means dressing up on spirt days, cheering on your school teams, (no matter how bad they might be), and wearing your class colors proudly!  School pride is how you show what you think of your school.  When the school exhibits school pride we come together as a family!

Pen Pal

So, me and my friend Nikki have been friends since the third grade.  We split up in 7th grade because I went to Desert Sky and she went to Highland Lakes.  We hadn't seen or talked to eachother in two years!  When freshman year came around, I was very shy and too scared to say hi to people I knew or introduce myself to new faces.  Unless you were in my classes and sat right next to me, we didn't communicate.  About four weeks into school I started getting comfortable and more outgoing.  Sophomore year I started out the way I ended Freshman year, outgoing and not shy at all!  That year Nikki had two classes with me!  We were inseperable!  This year we have no classes together, at all, not even lunch!  This was depressing!  So being as smart as we were we decided to write notes to eachother.  Iwould leave them in my 2nd hour for her to get 3rd hour, and she would give them to somebody to give to me.  It was the perfect plan!  Just yesterday we finally got going smoothly!  Everything works out for the friends of about nine years!!:)

Typical Mondays

Yesterday was really nothing special.  I woke up, got ready for school then left.  School was exactlt the same.  I sat in all my classes, listened to the teacher talk and give us homework then on to the next class.  The typical school day.  The only difference yesterday was that my ride home didn't show up.  This forced me my sister and my neighor to walk home in 1000 degree weather!  I got home, did my homework, watched a movie, and then it was time for bed.  Nothing special at all!

Career Goals...

About three years ago I was at my grandma's apartment messing around on paint.  I was making pictures of the volcom sign, cell phones, and anything that came to mind.  My grandma was impressed and told me I should look into graphic design as a career.  I looked up what a graphic designer does and it was a pretty cool job to have!  My mom wanted me to do graphic design as a side job to make extra money if I needed it and go into a career that involves math and is high paying.  I thought about what my mom said and I am considering doing graphic design as a side job.  I don't exactly know what I want to be yet, but I want to make enough money so that I can travel to Europe or Australia or somewhere far.  I have always wanted to be on television or in movies and I almost made it to California to addition for a commercial, but I was too young.

ASU vs. U of A Softball

My First Graphic Project!:D

SpOrTs!

Yes, I love sports! They keep you active and is a workout but its fun to do.  My favorite sport is softball!  I've played softball for 8-9 years now and plan to do it in college and hopefully make the USA team or one of the few professional teams that woman have.  Softball is so excited and is always fun to watch!  Without softball I don't know what i would be doing or even what i would look like!  Softball has effected my life in so many ways!

Parents that leave their child in the car

Parents that leave their child in the car for more than 2minutes, (at the most), should be sent to jail.  In my opinion, the parents should be charged with child neglect and have to spend time in jail for a long time!  If you really love your kid you will make sure nothing harms it and letting them sit in the hot car while your doing whatever is more important is not the way to protect them!

Yesterday

I was not in class through periods 1 to 4 because I was getting my braces off.  The most akward thing was coming into 4th period half way through the class and having everybody stare at you and trying to get you to smile!  I was so embarressed!  Finally I turned around and smiled and the first reactions I got were :O!  The rest of the day went pretty much the same, peoples reactions were the funniest thing in the world to me!  I'm hoping today won't be the same cause I think I might start laughing out loud in the middle of a silent moment in class.  That would be even more humiliating!!;D

No More Grill!

Today I went to the orthodontist to get my braces off! Finally after 1 and a half years I will have perfect teeth. My mom was sad when I got them off, but only because she said it made me look older! I'm excited to go to school now!! I will be a brand new person!:D

The Weekend

This weekend my softball team had a carwash to raise money.  In October or November we are traveling to Vegas for a showcase.  This is where we play against other teams only so college coaches can watch us and possibly recruit us!  We worked in the parking lot at Carl's Jr. and were very successful, but we had competition across the street.  In the Burger King parking lot, Greenway highschool was also doing a carwash for their swim team.  We realized they were getting cars because they had their boys wear speedos and hold signs and dance on the side of the road.  The only down side to their plan was that mostly old people were driving by both places and were disturbed by these boys.  This made our carwash even more of a success!

P.S.  Thank you Greenway swim team for scaring the cars our way!!;)

Ken Robinson

I think Ken Robinson's schpiel on how education  is killing creativity is true.  Because of economical depression, the government is planning to cut art programs and extra curricular activities.  They are pretty much saying that education classes are more important than fine art classes.  I think we should have more creative learning in schools rather than educational classes, or make the educational classes more creative!

Rain Rain Go Away

Yesterday after school my travel softball team had a scrimage.  We have many girls that live in Verado, so it takes them about an hour to get down here every practice.  We saw the haboob coming but all of the coaches said,"It'll pass in 5 minutes don't worry.  Just get warmed up!"  So, we did as we were told and warmed up our fielding and our bats.  Then it started sprinkling and we kept going.  The other team started to pack up while we were still going strong.  We came to play!  After about 15 minutes of hardcore rain we decided maybe it wasn't such a good idea to play today, afterall, there is lightning coming!  So that was it, no softball game for us.  My plans were ruined, oh well, we'll get them next time!! >:)

My First Real Blog!

Yesterday, on my first wednesday in Graphic Design, we created a blog.  We were able to design it how ever we wanted to and name it whatever came to mind, (as long as it was PG).  We made a small post just to let Mr.Larsen know we were into blogspot.  I named mine Skyhawksdealin.blogspot.com because it was something that meant something to me.  Last year our varsity softball team won 5AII state championship and this was for us!
Go Varsity Softball!!
